Imperial wins 7 International Property Awards

Creating history, at the Asia Pacific Property Awards which was presented by the International Property Awards (UK) at an awards ceremony in Singapore, ‘The Imperial’ has won 7 awards under following categories: Best Apartment Layout (3 Awards), Best Interior Design (2 Awards), Best High-Rise Development & Best Renovation/Redevelopment (1 each). This is the first time in the history of the prestigious awards that such an honour has been bestowed upon one single development under seven categories in the same year. At 827 feet, ‘The Imperial’ is India’s tallest residential building and has also come to be seen as the symbol that is redefining the Mumbai skyline. ‘The Imperial’ has a diverse platter of luxurious 3, 4 and 5 bedroom apartments with a choice of customary single level to contemporary duplex layouts, ranging from 2,500 sq.ft. to 10,000 sq.ft.

Regional industry leader Shapoorji Pallonji Qatar WLL is recognised at the Qatar Contractors Forum & Awards 2014

Shapoorji Pallonji, the Dubai based construction company was awarded ‘Contractor of the Year’ at this year’s Qatar Contractors Forum & Awards 2014 in conjunction with IQPC (International Quality & Productivity Centre).

Selected by a group of industry experts, panellist Dr. Sarah Prichard, director at BuroHappold Engineering was on hand to present the award, which was received by Shapoorji Pallonji International’s managing director and CEO, M.D Saini, and Shapoorji Pallonji Qatar WLL’s country manager, Rajeev Kaul.

Commenting on the award Mr. Saini commented, “I’d like to start by thanking IQPC for this award. It means a lot to us as a company, and sets forth the standard we aim to maintain throughout the region. Having only been in Qatar for five years, we feel this is a great achievement, and is a feather in our cap as we enter our 150th anniversary in 2015.

To date, in Qatar we have delivered three major projects which included multiple buildings and infrastructure, and we look forward to continuing to support the vision of His Highness and working on more complex projects in the future.

When asked about what aspects swayed the panel in awarding the industry accolade, Dr. Prichard commented, “We were really impressed with the involvement that Shapoorji Pallonji has in its work in Qatar, not only for contracting, but also for delivering value to its clients while conscientiously looking after its staff and labourers.

With on going projects across the MENA region and Sub Saharan Africa, Shapoorji Pallonji was recently shortlisted as one of the companies invited to bid for the build contract for two FIFA World Cup 2022 stadiums, namely the 32,000 modular Al-Bayt stadium and the 45,000 capacity Al-Wakrah stadium.
